| What is career coaching?
Do you have a fulfilling, stimulating career that matches
your skills, interests and lifestyle? Or do you have the feeling
that there must be a better way, but are not sure what
that is or how to make it happen?
In the past it was commonplace to have one employer for the
whole of your working life. But these days most of us will
change career several times before we retire.
Career coaching can help you identify what you really want
out of life, take an objective look at your career to date,
recognise your skills and talents and identify areas where
you could improve. Your coach will help you set goals and
encourage you as you work towards the fulfilling way of life
you deserve.
Who we work with
Career coaching could be for you if:
you are looking for a challenge, but do not
know what
you want to learn, grow and maximise your potential
you recognise the need to adjust your work/life
balance
you are facing enforced change, such as redundancy
you are about to re-enter the workforce after
a break.
How we work
After an initial free consultation to find out what you hope
to gain from coaching, we will design a programme to meet
your needs. We will work collaboratively with you, and may
adapt the programme as we go along, perhaps concentrating
particularly on one or two aspects, or changing elements as
you define your goals.
We will not tell you what to do but rather work with you
to help you find your own answers. Once we have established
a rapport, we will encourage you to challenge yourself,
perhaps pushing slightly beyond your comfort zone, to help
you meet the goals you have set for yourself.
Through coaching we can help you:
get to know yourself – your values, skills,
interests, achievements and aspirations
assess your career to date and identify your options
and opportunities
market yourself – write a winning CV or network
effectively
develop and implement effective job-search strategies
prepare for interviews, or negotiations for a pay
rise
build your confidence and self-esteem.
You can choose to visit your coach for face-to-face sessions,
or talk over the phone from the comfort of your own home or
office. We will give you a self-study work book to help
you stay focused on your goals between sessions.
Coaching is a fascinating and illuminating process. The journey
is not always easy, but your coach will be there to provide
support and encouragement as you work to take control of your
own destiny.

Career coaching could help you to:
develop a clear vision of what you want from your
